Chase The Ace
Members only – Tickets: £1.00/strip
A whole set of cards; including jokers; are shuffled and placed inside envelopes and sealed. Shuffled again and numbered 1 to 54 and locked into a notice board. This process is carried out by 3 random members at the start of a new setup.
Tickets are on sale behind the bar Sunday evening to Saturday night, £1 a strip. The tickets are placed inside an envelope with the money and your name written on the front.
These are all kept in the safe till Sunday lunch time ready for the draw. Tickets are also on sale Sunday lunch times but not placed in envelopes you keep them till the end of draw.
During the draw, a ticket will be drawn, whoever owns the ticket will get a cash prize (£40 if you are in the club / £20 if not) and you then pick a number tile from a bag. The corresponding numbered envelope is then opened, if the player draws a joker, they take another turn and also get another £10, if the player picks an Ace, they will get the Ace prize, if the player picks the Ace of Spades, they win the JACKPOT.
Amounts of prizes will be on notice board and updated each week.
Tote
Ask for a tote card; from behind the bar; you have a choice of selecting your own numbers or having a lucky dip card. They are only 20p each; for which you get 4 chances.
When you have filled them out put them in a bag (supplied) together with the money and post them at the end of the bar in the lounge, bar staff will show you the slot they are posted into.
On Sunday morning two numbers will be drawn out the bag by two members in the club at the time. If you have these two numbers on one line on your card, then you are a WINNER!
All the proceeds minus a small percentage of amenities taken for the club’s funds are paid out to the winner(s). This pot is shared equally between the winners.
If there are no winners the fund is rolled over and the amount will be added to the following weeks pot.
Winnings are paid out after 7pm on Tuesday evenings.
